In a Nutshell
MOPII is looking for Senior Novelist Writers. The role is, in essence, a lover of words and a storyteller. You’ll be finding, creating, and honing narratives all over your job. You understand the power of words, and you wield it.
Once here, you will:
• Bring clarity to the intangible and humanity to the theoretical, acting as a translator within multidisciplinary teams who defines and crystalize everyone’s ideas and establishes a common language that makes strategy more human and accessible;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to create cohesive and inspiring articulation of brand strategy, organizational purpose, values and vision, and consumer-facing brand expressions;
• Eagerly digest a lot of information from different sources and make sense of it: Pulling it all together, recognizing patterns, and understanding what that means for design. You should be able to find the nugget of a compelling story and draw it out from the clutter;
• Empower your curiosity and desire to connect with and learn from people through inclusive approaches. You have some research experience, and a love for understanding people and what makes them tick. You will likely love to ask “why.” A lot;
As a Senior Writer, You will embody the power of story with everything you do.
Relevant Experiences and Mindsets:
• Bachelor degree or above.
• 3+ years of professional writing experience crafting deliverables.
• Experience participating and/or facilitating in user research with a particular focus on the stories people tell each other and themselves.
• Love reading, love writing, and have the confidence and enthusiasm to devote yourself to the novel writing industry.

MOPII is looking for Screenwriters, which come up with original material, write a script based on actual events, or adapt an existing work (such as a book, play, or film). For an adaptation, screenwriters rewrite and rework existing material with legal permission.
• Bachelor degree or above;
• 3+ years of professional screen writing experience crafting deliverables;
• Develop and research ideas for original movie screenplays;
• Create an initial framework, and treatment, for screenplays;
• Write and adapt a story into a script;
• Meet with film executives to pitch screenplays and ideas;
• Weave together visual elements in scenes with plot and dialogue;
• Work with producers and directors to edit and adjust the script as needed.
• Writing skills: A strong command of the English language and the ability to write a compelling story is a must for this job;
• Observational skills: Screenwriters base characters, plot lines, and much of the dialogue of a script on real events, places, and people they've observed in real life;
• Creativity: Screenwriters must be able to come up with new ideas and also envision what a film might be like before it's made;
• Interpersonal skills: When working on a film, screenwriters must work with the producer, director, and other team members to adjust the screenplay as needed. They also must be able to effectively pitch their screenplays.
