        The Middle Eastern fox can be seen early in Mesopotamian mythology before the 30th century BC, and it was one of the sacred animals of the goddess Ninhursag, who acted as her messenger. The water god Enki, the consort of the goddess Ninhursag, is ill, which means that the world will face destruction. At the critical moment, with the help of the fox messenger, Ninghursag returns to the island healed Enki who is the symbol of life, craftsmanship, and intelligence, which was able to save the world.

       Today, we still can see stone carvings of foxes carved with rough brushes on the pillars of Göbekli Tepe, the oldest temple in the world, in Middle East Turkey. Also, at the ruins of "Uyun al-Hammam" (modern Jordan) and Kfar HaHoresh (modern Israel ), people discovered the sacred red foxes buried with humans in a Paleolithic tomb 16,000 years ago because of some kind of emotional connection between humans and foxes, and also found out the late Levant strong cultural significance of the burials of ethnic people with foxes 8600 years ago.
